Jairus W. Abbey, b. June 18, 1844. He served in the army, 1862 thru 1865 ; went to Fenton, Mich., 1868 ; Flint, Mich., 1873 ; Benton Harbor, Mich., 1906 ; Detroit, 1910. Machine wood-worker.

Married Oct. 9, 1867, at Three Mile Bay, N. Y., Phebe A. Hall, b. Oct. 9, 1843, in the town of Ellisburgh, Jefferson County, N. Y. ; d. Jan. 6, 1910.

She was the daughter of Albert and Susan Maria (Bishop) Hall.

They had no children but adopted a daughter who is now Mrs. E. E. Hartley of Detroit, Mich.
