Israel Aaron's birth is recorded in Philadelphia's Congregation Rodeph Shalom mohel record. He has the honor of being the very first graduate of Isaac Mayer Wise's Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati Ohio. The 1883 class had four graduates and his surname made him first. He served a Congregation in Fort Wayne, Indiana and then Beth Zion in Buffalo, NY. He died while rabbi there one day after being honored for 25 years of service.
