The family of Viola Bell Gregory celebrate her life and her death.

She was the most loving and giving grandmother and great-grandmother that ever lived on this earth and a great example to all of her family. She passed away Jan. 3, 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah, of causes incident to age.

She was born Feb. 16, 1914 in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho to Willard D. Bell and Alta Martin Bell and was the fourth of twelve children. She married Rex Gregory July 2, 1932 in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. She lived in Idaho and Oregon then moved to Salt Lake City in 1945 where she spent the remainder of her life.

She is survived by: her husband; son, Rex O'Neil (Nancy), Freemont, California; daughter, Beverly Jean (Edward F. "Ted") Smith, Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters, Ardella Welch, Provo, Utah, and Lois Peterson, Lava Hot Springs, Idaho; one brother, Arnold M. Bell, Chubbuck, Idaho; six grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the nurses and care givers at Rocky Mountain Care-Holladay who gave tender, loving care to our mother during her time of need.

Family graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, January 7, 1997 at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery/Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, 455 East 400 South, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84111.
