Orland Cory Dead
Orland Cory died at the residence of his father, John Cory west of the city, yesterday morning about 11:30 o'clock, after four weeks' illness of typhoid fever.
He was a man of exceptionally good character and traits, well liked by all who knew him. He was a general favorite with his companions and was about 23 years of age. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Cory, and the blow is indeed a sad one to his parents. His brother, older than he, met a tragic death on the railroad while in the employ of the company in the capacity of brakeman, about six years ago.
The funeral will occur from the late residence tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, the services being in charge of Rev. M. G. Allison of the Walnut St. Presbyterian church. Mr. Cory was a prominent Odd Fellow. Cecelia Lodge of this city will have charge of the funeral arrangements.

Allison who spoke words of cheer and consolation to the stricken parents in the loss of their only son. The Odd Fellows conducted services at Rose Hill cemetery, Cecelia Lodge attending in a body.
