Betty was born August 8, 1934, in Sebewaing to Arthur and Frances (Kuhl) Brenner. She married Earl Crabtree on March 15, 1958, at St. John Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh. Earl preceded her in death on November 27, 2010.
Betty was confirmed May 9, 1948, at St. John Lutheran Church-Kilmanagh. She and Earl owned Earl’s Furniture and Floor Covering from 1968-1979. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing, Immanuel Lutheran Church Choir, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Choir in Caseville, and volunteered at the Immanuel Lutheran Church office. Betty was a loyal and faithful servant to the Lord, a very kind and giving person, loved her church and singing in the choir. She also enjoyed playing the piano and watching Detroit Tigers Baseball.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Karyn (Marcus Bierlein) of Vassar, aunts: Grace Weeks and Helen Stoeckle, dearest cousins: Jack Buehler, Deb Bloomfield, Ashley Liberacki, Sheila Yackle, numerous other cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-9pm.
The funeral service will be Friday, March 6, 2015, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Rev. Boyer and Rev. Stolarczyk will be officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing.
