David was at Mansfield in 1799 with his brother, Dr. BACON. He went in 1801 to Detroit, Michigan, as agent of the Missionary Society of Connecticut, lived in Detroit and Mackinaw, Michigan, and became founder of Tallmadge, Ohio, named after Col.
