Professional Hockey Player. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, but emigrated to Canada. A left winger, he got his early hockey training in Port Arthur, Ontario (1918 to 1925). Next came a stint in Niagara Falls, Ontario (1925 to 1927), which led to him breaking into the big time with the New York Americans (1926 to 1927) of the National Hockey League. A trade sent him to the Detroit Cougars (1928 to 1930) and the IHL's Detroit Olympics (1929 to 1930). Detroit sold him to the Seattle Eskimos (1930 19 31). In the 1931 off-season Bobby Connors went to Green Bay Beach, Ontario, to swim. Unfortunately, he misjudged the water's depth on one dive and fractured his upper clavical vertebrae, and died from his injury in St. Joseph's Hospital, Port Arthur, Ontario.
