Jaimie L. McKoon, 36, a longtime Lake County resident, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at University Hospital in Cleveland.
Born Aug. 31, 1976, in Willoughby, Jaimie was the valedictorian of her Fairport Harding High School graduating class of 1994. She received her bachelor of arts in psychology in 1998 from Malone College in Canton, was a flight attendant with Northwest Airlines for 10 years and received a certificate of completion in 2013 from the Cleveland Institute of Medical Assistants.
Survivors include her mother, B. Sue (Michael) Brown of Concord Township; father, Scott McKoon of Fairport Harbor; brother, Clint (Susan) McKoon; sister, Courtney McKoon of Columbus; nieces, Isabelle and Grace McKoon; nephew, Owen McKoon; her cat, Yahoo; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Jaimie's life will be 5 p.m. Friday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Reception Center on the Brunner Campus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lake County Dog Shelter,
