She was employed by the State of Maine in many different departments, her most recent, with D.H.H.S.
A long time resident of Jefferson, Patricia loved to spend time with her family. She was a great wife and mother and was friends with everyone she met. She was there for everyone, never forgetting birthdays or special events. She always attended her children's activities, whether it was going to sporting events or being a girl scout leader. Her contagious laugh will be missed. She had a passion for bingo, and enjoyed baking and cooking. Her special times were going out to eat, sight seeing, taking trips, and touring light houses.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Martin Bischoff. Surviving are her husband Mark E. Barney; her children, Katrina Barney, Mark M. Barney and Alex B. Barney, all of Jefferson; a brother Richard Bischoff of North Carolina, a sister Mary Dunlap of Virginia; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Spring burial will be at the Lewis Cemetery in Oakland. (obituaries.centralmaine.com 2/12/2015)
