William J. "Bill" Fennell

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - William J. "Bill" Fennell, age 74 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Friday, July 14, 2006 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, June 15, 1932, son of the late William and Dorothy Fennell, he was a longtime resident of Raritan Township, NJ, having previously lived in Perth Amboy, NJ, East Brunswick, NJ and South Plainfield, NJ.

A former Tank Commander in the New Jersey National Guard, Bill was a retired Iron Worker with Iron Worker's Local #373, Perth Amboy, NJ.

A former member of the East Brunswick Rescue Squad, Bill was a Past President and Life Member of the Flemington-Raritan First-Aid & Rescue Squad, Station 49. Additionally, he was a longtime member of The Body of Christ Ministries, Annandale, NJ.

Surviving are his wife of twenty-nine years, Judy Hanna Fennell; a son, Joseph Fennell of Anaheim, CA; two daughters, Carol Burzinski of Edison, NJ and Deane Croce of South Plainfield, NJ; a step-son, Keith Brock, Sr. of Spring Lake, NC; a step-daughter, Bette Donah of Bethlehem, PA; two brothers, Richard Fennell of South Amboy, NJ and Robert Fennell of Stockton, NJ; two sisters, Jean Toth of Atlantic Highlands, NJ and Maryann Wojciechowicz of Jackson, NJ; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m. at The Body of Christ Ministries, 101 Voorhees Road, Glen Gardner, NJ (take Route 31 to Cregar Road, go approximately 1 mile and make left onto Fairview Road/Route 513. Go 1/2 mile and Church will be on right side across from Voohrees State Park. Church is on the corner of Voorhees Road and Fairview Road/Route 513.) Interment will be private.
