Anna Grace Lovin Stewart, age 103 of Route 1, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2000 at Britthaven of Graham. She was a native of Graham County, North Carolina and the daughter of the late James Tilman and Nora Tatham Lovin. She was preceded in death by her husband, G. W. Stewart in 1979. She is survived by her son, Jack Stewart of Candler, North Carolina; a daughter, Helen S. Mashburn of Robbinsville, North Carolina; a brother, James Denman Lovin of Sylva, North Carolina. She has four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, to one of which, Devonne McIntosh, the family would like to extend a special thanks. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 28, 2000 at Townson-Smith Chapel. Reverend Roger Millsaps and the Reverend Mickey Stewart will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Friday, January 28, 2000 before the services. Burial will be in the Old Mother Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Grace's name to New Hope Baptist Church or the Graham County Rescue Squad. Townson-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
