Glenn E. Greer, 48, owner and operator of Greer Tank and Welding Co., died at Fairbanks Community Hospital Thursday after a four-month confinement in the hospital.
Born Dec. 1, 1919 in Herford, Tex., Mr. Greer has been a Fairbanks resident since 1948. He had operated Greer Tank and Welding since 1951.
He is survived by his widow Ruth Greer of 1507 Fourth Ave., and four children, David Greer, who is attending Berkeley University in California, and three other children, Linda, Gary and Mark, who attend school in Fairbanks.
He is also survived by his father Glenn Greer, Sr. in Hereford, Texas, and two sisters both living in Boston, Mass.
A past Worshipful Patron in the Masonic Lodge, Mr. Greer was Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star at the time of his death.” -Fairbanks Daily News Miner, Fairbanks, Alaska, Friday, November 1, 1968
