Widow of USAF Lt. Col. Stephen W. Prime Sr. Traveled with him through much of his career after World War II. After his death worked for the Northwest Louisiana Area Council for Aging (predecessor of the Caddo Council on Aging) and for Beadles and Wright Food Brokers. Prior to her marriage she was executive secretary to the CEO of Mark Cross and Co. in New York City.

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Helen Rosemary Seco Prime died Monday, May 13, 2002 at Christus Schumpert Health System after a lengthy illness. She was 84. Born in Manhattan, NY, she served as an executive secretary at the Mark Cross Co. in New York City in the 1940s. After moving to Bossier City in the late 1950s, she worked in that capacity at Beadles & Wright Food Brokers and at the Caddo Council on Aging. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Stephen Webster Prime, Sr.; brother, Joseph Seco; sister, Rose von der Schmidt; and parents, Rose Monahan Seco Prime and Sebastian Joseph Maria Seco. She is survived by sons, Stephen Webster Prime, Jr., Michael James Prime and wife Randy, and John Andrew Prime and wife Lila; daughter, Elizabeth Prime O'Connell and husband Kevin Mulligan; grandsons, Daniel Webster Prime, Jeremy Paul Prime and Jeffrey Thomas Prime; and granddaughter, Shannon Marie O'Connell. She was a strong and loving woman who cared deeply for family and friends. She endured the hardships of being a military wife and widow with humor, dignity and grace. Services will be at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2002 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Joe Martina, pastor of Christ The King Catholic Church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Stoner Avenue. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Thursday, May 16, 2002 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Rose-Neath Funeral Home Marshall St. Chapel, 222-0348.
