James Blair Allen, 49, Gladstone, MO, passed away April 15, 2010 at his home.
Jim was born July 10, 1960 in Independence, MO, and attended Blue Springs schools from kindergarten through his high school graduation in 1978. His career in banking started while he was still in high school, and he completed nearly 30 years of service at Blue Ridge Bank & Trust Company.
Jim was an avid sports fan; the science and true, honest competition was what intrigued him most. He also had a strong affinity for the beach, finding solace sitting in the sand and taking in all its sights, sounds and smells.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Allen. He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Tida Allen; his mother, Donna Allen and three sisters and their families: Jan Dow; Terri and Tom Lindsey and Tina Tims. Jim is also survived by two sisters-in-law and their families: Brenda Gimpelson and DeeDee and Billy Ballard.
