Arnold, MD: Gretchen Truitt Cocco, 87, of Arnold and formerly of Delmar died on Thursday, July 11, 2002 at Future Care Chesapeake Nursing Home in Arnold.

She was born in Salisbury on April 6, 1915.

Her husband, Charles C. Cocco died in 1979 and a daughter Diane Doherty died in 1997.

Mrs. Cocco was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

After retiring from Drexel University in 1975, she loved traveling and dancing with the senior citizens dance troop from St. Eugene's Church in Secane, PA.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Larry L. Cocco and his wife Elaine of Arnold, a son-in-law, Robert F. Doherty of Bethany Beach, three grandchildren; Robert C. Doherty and his wife Amy, Melissa Cocco, and Meredith Cocco.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 P.M. at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Delmar. The Rev. Kerry Schull will officiate. A visitation will be held at Bounds Funeral Home on E. Main St. in Salisbury on Monday from 12:30-1:30 PM.
