Mrs. Eva D. Cobb, 1500 Main Street, who has lived all of her 90 years in Buffalo will cast her first vote at the polls on Tuesday, and she has announced that her choice for the presidency is Herbert Hoover.
Eva was the widow of William. She was the daughter of Joseph A. Snyder and Eva A. Side. She was born in Peekskill NY. Before entering the Home, her former residence was 35 East Utica Street in Buffalo. She died at the Home for the Friendless. She was 91 years, 9 months, 2 days. Cause of death: Bronchial Pneumonia.
We miss from the Home the gentle, kindly presence of Mrs. Eva E. Cobb, who left us on March 15th, after a short illness. Having served faithfully, raising a family of children not her own, she lived quietly and peacefully during her last years, always so contented and cheerful that it was a pleasure to visit with her. She enjoyed the Home, the entertainment, and especially the services on Sunday. We extend our sincere sympathy to her sister.
Mrs. Cobb fell, and her illness proved as Dr. Clark had predicted - to be fatal. Her sister, Mrs. Josetha T. Hill, of Springfield MA, arrived on March 12th and they visited together one day, talking over old times. On March 15th she passed away. Her funeral was on March 17th, and was attended by her pastor, Dr. Leonard V. Bushmann of Central Presbyterian Church, and Rev. and Mrs. Pentland sang.
