Jan. 1934: After 14 years in the Home, Miss Clara A. Wilcox passed into the great Beyond on Dec. 5, 1933. Rev. A. G. Adams of Lafayette Avenue Baptist Church and her pastor, Mr. and Mrs. Pentland sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer". She was buried in Angola in a grave beside her mother. A strange coincidence was her being carried out of the Home on the anniversary of the day she came in. It's been her custom to buy something extra for spring on that anniversary day and this year she had ordered hot rolls for all the Family. (Jan 1934 Superintendent's Report).
Clara A. Wilcox: Miss Clara A. Wilcox, who has been at the home 14 years to the day, died Dec. 6, 1933, her funeral coming on the anniversary of her entrance into the Home. Her frail body held almost an unconquerable spirit and those who know her maravled at her vital strength. Her appreciation of the comforts of the Home was constant and she was generous in her expression of it. She was buried in Angola. (Jan. 1934 Superintendent's Report). She had written a poem on pg 1719 of Our Record.

Clara had a sister, Martha Naomi Wilcox Shear, born May 5, 1849, died 1880, also buried at Forest Avenue Cemetery, Angola, NY.
