Miss Barber was a resident of the Bristol Home (formerly known as the Home for the Friendless), 1500 Main Street, Buffalo, NY, as early as 1951, mentioned in the Sept. 1958 "Our Record", a publication of the Home. She was single, and was the sister of Clara Barber. She was the daughter of Edmund B. and Ann C. Barber. The 1900 Federal Census lists her as born in July 1872 in NYS. Her brothers were Clarence E and Chester W. Barber.

She was 86 years, 5 months and 5 days. Born in NY. Daughter of Edmund and Ann C. Barber.

In Memoriam: Miss Ella Barber was a resident of the Home for 10 years. She was born in Buffalo in 1872 and died Dec. 2, 1958. Services were held by the Rev Lee J Engler of Woodside Methodist Church, of which she was a member. Burial was in Forest Lawn.
