Imette St. Guillen's life was filled with friends and family dazzled by her academic success and enchanted by her radiance, her thoughts sometimes turned to those whose lives were bereft of support. A student of criminal justice, she wanted to change public policy to improve life for inmates inside jails and prisons. She was a member of the National Honor Society while at Boston Latin School, the city's premier public school. She graduated magna cum laude from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. And she was on the verge of getting her master's degree in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.
