Corporal Sills Funeral Friday
Funeral services for Corporal James W. Sills, of Byesville. will be conducted from the Assembly of God church in Byesville Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with
Rev. Tice Snider officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery there. Military services will be conducted by the Byesville American Legion Post No. 116. Cpl. Sills was killed in action on February 23, 1945. near Merken, Germany. He entered the service on March 29, 1943 and served with the 415th Infantry of the 104th Division. He was burled near Henri Chapelle. Belgium. His body arrived In New York on October 26. It arrived In Byesvllle Wednesday morning and taken to the Herlan funeral home and later removed to the home of his parents. Mr. and
Mrs. William Sills.Surviving are his wife, Nora Gern Sills and one daughter, Mona Lee, both of Canton; his parents: four sisters, Mrs. Opal Moore of Newcomerstown. Mrs. Bonnie Hensley of Lorton, Va.. Mrs. Bertha Rossiter of Byesvllle. and Mrs. Norma Tulip of Cambridge, and two brothers, Thomas Sills of Cambridge, and Wllbert Sills of
the home.
