Ethel Y. Hamano, 97, of Honolulu, a retired hotel waitress, died in the Queen's Medical Center. She was born in Okinawa, Japan.

She is survived by son Leonard K. Ke, sister Emma Oshiro, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services: 12:45 p.m. Saturday at Diamond Head Memorial Park. Casual attire.
