Treva was born in Jenny Lind, Arkansas, on December 17, 1918, to the late Lola and Marvin Blaylock.
Treva was married to Grady Glen Garrison on November 18, 1945, and they were happily married for 44 years until he passed away in 1989.
Treva retired from McKesson where she worked as a secretary for 15 years. She previously worked for the Public School System and the Chamber of Commerce in Ft. Smith. She loved spending time outdoors and loved to knit. She was well known for her many Christmas stockings she would knit for new additions to the family and friends. Treva also enjoyed her volunteer work at Miss Laura's visitor's center.
Treva is survived by her son Gary and wife Lela Garrison of Harrison, her granddaughter Christy and husband Randy of Fayetteville, her sister Eloise and husband Dan of Tulsa, Oklahoma, many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband Grady, Treva is preceded in death by an infant son Jim Owen Garrison, sister Mary Ellen Jones, and brother Marvin Blaylock, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Goddard United Methodist Church in Ft. Smith or the charity of your choice. The family of Treva Garrison wishes to thank the staff of Harrison Retirement Center and The Highlands of Harrison at Tims for their kindness and care during her stay at those facilities.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, July 31, at Goddard United Methodist Church in Ft. Smith. Rev. Kim Cloninger of Goddard will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Ft. Smith National Cemetery.
