Mrs. Jane Schowetsky, 54, wife of Richard Schowetsky, of Mahopac NY, died June 21, 1985 in the Putnam Hospital Center, in Carmel NY. A Mahopac resident for 16 years, she was born August 20, 1930, in Southfork PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Antonia Kuta Golas. She was a graduate of SUNY Agricultural and Technical College of Morrisville. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Mahopac. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children: Sandra A. Herman and Brian Schowetsky, both at home, 4 brothers, Edward Golas of Morrisville NY, Henry Golas of Sunnyvale CA, Ernest Golas of Ebenesberg PA, and Eugene Golas of Langhorne PA, and two sisters, Lottie Wilusz of Windber PA, and Sylvia Golas of Patterson. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac. Burial was in Raymond Hill Cemetery in Carmel. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Cargain-Barber Funeral Home, Rt. 6, Mahopac, NY.
