Matthew Sergei Burdette of San Diego, son of Timothy and Barbara Burdette, brother of Masha Burdette, born on June 14, 1999 in Orel, Russia and died November 29, 2013.

Matthew was a student at University High School where he played Water Polo and was on the Wrestling Team. He was also a Boy Scout with Troop 260 working toward his Eagle rank.

Matthew was loved by his grandparents Carl and Joan Schmidt, Aunts and Uncles, Carlene and Michael Coats, Peter and Laura (Burdette) Mechak, William and Robert (Jr.) Burdette and cousins Maggie and Alex Coats, Joey, Ben and Mark Mechak, Wyatt, Mollie, Robert (III) and Alec Burdette.

Services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at El Camino Memorial, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road. For more information please go to www. SorrentoValleyChapel.com.
