A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, Mr. Hall served as pastor of the House of Prayer Holiness Church for seventeen years.

In 1974, he retired from Rockwell International where he had worked as a Metallurgist for eleven years. For the past 29 years, Mr. Hall had served as caretaker of the Tennessee River Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Lillie Hall, brother, Cecil Hall, Jr., and sister, Essie Hall Pell.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Edna Louise Hall; son, Michael Edward Hall, Chattanooga; daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Ricky Clark, Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Jacob and Justin Clark; brothers and sisters, Alvin, Franklin, Albert, and Roy Hall, Patricia Hall Evans, Jackie and Jessie Hall, Estelle Pittman, and Marshall Hall, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. John Smith, Robert Caldwell, Sr., and Robert Caldwell, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Troy's honor to the Tennessee River Gardens, 22579 Highway 41, Chattanooga, Tennessee, 37419, or to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4355 Highway 58, Chattanooga, TN 37416.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and all day Monday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, 866-5151.
