Aunt Helen was a very devout Catholic and was a member of St Nicholas Byzantine church where she volunteered making food items for the church to sell.
She also had a thing about germs, dirt and dogs. She was an avid hand-washer and made everyone else wash up too. She warmed up to dogs later in life after her daughter and son adopted their pets. She became the pet-sitter for all of her grand-dogs when needed.
Helen married Leonard Sekerak on June 22, 1946 in Barberton, Ohio. They had 3 children, Paul, Judith (Sherwin) Alberts and James.
