Genevieve "Nan" Allen Jacobs, 99, Independence, MO passed away Dec. 29, 2013. Genevieve was born Oct. 18, 1914 in Independence and was a life-long resident. She graduated from William Chrisman High School. She worked in the Deli at Jerry's United Super at Noland Rd. & 35th St. for over twenty years and retired in 1987. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidery and was a huge Royals fan. She made Christmas stockings by hand for her family. She also played a large part in raising two of her grandchildren. Genevieve was preceded in death by husbands Richard Coble and Leslie Jacobs; daughter Janice E. Landes and son Allen Coble. She is survived by daughter Carol Kay Davenport and husband Russ, Ringold, GA; grandchildren Karen and husband Dale; David and wife Svetlana; Paul and wife Michelle; Terry and wife Lisa; Lori and husband Anthony and thirteen great-grandchildren.
