Charles Edward "Ed" Sparks, 46, was set free from this life to be with our Heavenly Father, on Monday, May 12, 2014.

He was born to Richard Lee Sparks and Gladys McDowell (Broyer) Sparks on September 14, 1967. Over the years, Ed had worked for Biscuit Junction, East-End Coffee Cup, Fulk's Restaurant, and Bynum's Office Supply, before finally finding his career at Wal-Mart stores 0996, 1356 and, 0902 where he worked until his death. Ed was a loving and devoted father and husband. Everyone who knew him loved him. Ed was a strong Christian man and never wavered from his faith in Jesus. Even in his battle against cancer, Ed allowed God to show through him in his thoughts, deeds, and testimony. His roots in Christianity were founded in the Nazarene church. Ed will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Janet Kathreen "Kathy" (Robertson) Sparks; his daughter, Arizona "Zoe" June McDowell Sparks; his sisters in blood and heart, Velda (Kris) Morgan, Patricia (Shelley) Martin, Cheryl Morgan, Louise Taylor, and Kelly Robertson (Matthew) Southern. Ed is also survived by his brothers in blood and heart Danny (Marina) Sparks, Kevin Sparks, Ricky (Wendy) Sparks, David Morgan, Frank Morgan, Robert Robertson Jr., and Eugene (Betty) Robertson. He is also survived by his parents of the heart, Robert Robertson Sr. and Susan Robertson. Ed left numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and two brothers, Richard Sparks, Gladys (Broyer) Sparks, Marion Sparks, and Jimmy Sparks.

Ed, I'm sure you are in the arms of Jesus and he is saying "Well done my good and faithful servant." We love you and you will be missed.
