Obituary for Brenda Hoye

Brenda Kay "BK" Hoye, born in Monroe on December 10, 1958 the daughter of the late Robert Hoye and Mattie L. (Fisher) Hoye. She was a 1977 graduate of Monroe High School.

BK was very athletic with an infectious smile. She was always on the go. BK was a woman of her word. A loving mother and a great friend, BK, left an impression on all those around her. She was a group organizer, a determined go-getter, and a fighter. She took life into her own hands, lived with passion, and was a leader to all. BK was often outspoken and was never afraid to speak the truth. She had a big heart and never judging others. BK always looked out for those around her, often sharing meals with anyone with a need to be fed. Brenda made sure that those around her knew where she stood and she always ended everything with "I Love You".

For many years, BK, worked in environmental services at Johnson Controls. She was a faithful member of Second Missionary Baptist Church. Being a jack of all trades, BK, enjoyed cooking and baking pies and she made an exceptional peach cobbler. She had a passion for music and was gifted with the ability to play the piano and sing. BK enjoyed casinos local and traveling.
