Racing driver and motoring journalist. the eldest son of Thomas Bertram Wisdom (1879-1958), journalist, and his wife, Annie May, nee Attwater. During the Second World War he was an RAF wing commander. He became a leading motoring journalist and was a founder of the Guild of Motoring Writers, writing in later years as Tom Wisdom. He was Bill (Elsie Mary Wisdom's (1904-1972) second husband.
