Anna V. Anderson, 93, Newcastle, died Nov. 16, at Cove’s Edge Nursing Home, Damariscotta. A daughter of Frank and Veronica (Minalga) Jocobski, she was born in Liverpool, England April 23,1907. As an infant, her parents came to the U.S., and for much of her adult life she lived in Camden, N.J. Anna was married to Victor Anderson for over 75 years, until his death in 1998. In 1976, she and Victor moved to Winslow, and in 1988 came to Newcastle. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Newcastle. She was predeceased by a son, Victor. She is survived by her son, William of Great Diamond Island; a sister, Sophie Markunas of Moorestown, NJ, her daughter-in-law, Patricia Anderson of Newcastle; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial Nov. 20, at St. Patrick’s Church, Newcastle, Rev. Ray Picard officiating. She will be laid to rest, with her husband, at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Strong Funeral Home, 612 Main Street, Damariscotta.
