The death of Mr. Sterling occurred at 4 a. m. last Monday morning after a lingering illness which had confined him to his home since March 1st. He was a member of Asbury Council, which turned out in a body, as well as Asbury M.E. Church.
The deceased was both born and raised in this section, and was fifty years of age.
His death is mourned by a widow and two grown children, namely, Mrs. Norman Hickman, of this place, with whom he lived, and Mrs. Clarence Christy of Crisfield; also three sisters and four brothers, namely, Messrs. Elijah, Elsworth, Charles W. and William F. Sterling, brothers; Mrs. George B. Merrill, Mrs. L.D. Mister and Mrs. William Sterling, sisters. The bereaved family have our sincere sympathy.
