Mary Emily Pack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Pack was born April 4, 1841 and departed this life August 4, 1926, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ann Heaton, in Bussey, being in the 86th year of life. She was born in the state of Indiana and about when ten years of age came to Iowa with her parents who settled near Marysville, in and around which place she spent most of her life. In the year 1861, she was united in marriage to John Little who preceded her in death 19 years ago. To this union nine children were born, six of whom are still surviving. Jeff Little of Des Moines, Jane Dufner of Marysville, Arthur of Pershing, Mrs. Anna Heaton of Bussey. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Anna Godfrey of Hamilton and two brothers Frank Pack of Bellingham, Washington and James Pack of California. Also 35 grandchildren and fifty-one great grandchildren and a host of friends who mourn her loss. She converted at Marysville and united with the M.E. Church there 35 years ago under the teaching of Dr. Bunce, at which time she was a member until her death.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from the M.E. Church of Marysville. Conducted by Rev. R.S. Tauige, assisted by Rev. B.H. Finch of Bussey and interment was made in the cemetery at Marysville.
