Information was received here yesterday by his sister, Mrs. F.B. Nash, of the death of Lieutenant Roey Thorington at Keough, Montana Territory, we believe on Sept. 10th. The last news that she had received from him was down with a fever brought on by overexertion, but it was not considered dangerous. Particulars of his illness and death have not been received as yet. Many of our people are well acquainted with Lt. Thorington, who had made many visits here, to whom this sudden announcement of his decease can bring nothing but sorrow and regret, and who sincerely sympathize with his sisters, Mrs. Nash and Miss Thorington, so terribly afflicted by his unexpected death.
