Mr. Rusher was a native of Rowan County and had spent most of his life in Henderson County. He retired in 1965 after 20 years as a retail grocer.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Bertha Justus Rusher; a son, William A. Rusher of Columbia, S. C.; four half brothers, Sam, Francis, White and Jake Rusher and a half sister, Mrs. A. J. Henderson, all of Hendersonville; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
