Carl S. Abram, age 84, of Hegewisch, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2014 with his loving wife of 60 years and 35 days at his side. He was retired from US Steel Supply. Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He was a life-long Cubs fan and enjoyed all Chicago sports.
Survived by his loving wife, Rita M. Abram (nee Sury); beloved sons: Thomas (Teresa) Abram, Christopher (Michele) Abram; cherished grandchildren: Jennifer, Eric, Lindsay, Danielle, Christine, Christopher; and five great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his loving parents, brothers, and sister.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch, 13300 S. Houston Ave., Chicago, IL 60633, (773-646-1666), and on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 8:00-9:30 a.m. Prayers from chapel at 9:30 a.m. for 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Florian Church of Hegewisch with Rev. James Mezydlo officiating.
Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
Carl will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
