Canadian Politician, Educator, Entrepreneur. He represented the electoral district of Springfield as a Municipal Politician or MP in the Canadian House of Commons in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, from May 12, 1958, until his death in office on September 24, 1958. He was born in the Ukraine on November 23, 1907, and immigrated to Canada at the age of five. He was educated locally, and later received his BA or Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, in 1939. He worked primarily as a teacher in Elma, Manitoba, Canada, Ladywood, Manitoba, Canada, and East Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada, from 1927 to 1944, as a councillor and school trustee of the rural municipality of Whitemouth, Manitoba, Canada, and running a hotel business, before pursuing a career in politics. He then decided to run for a seat in the Canadian House of Commons in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and was elected to represent the electoral district of Springfield beginning on March 31, 1958. A Member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, he then represented the electoral district of Springfield in the Canadian House of Commons in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, beginning on May 12, 1958. He had previously been defeated during the June 1957 campaign but was able to defeat the outgoing Co-Operative Commonwealth Federation or CCF Party Member Jacob "Jake" Schulz (1901-1983), to become the first Progressive Conservative Party Member of Canada to represent the constituency since 1930. He passed away at his home following a sudden heart in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, while still in office on September 24, 1958, at the age of 51. He had served a total of 178 days, 5 months, and 26 days, in office. His untimely death in office, left the Canadian House of Commons in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, standing at Progressive Conservatives Party of Canada with 206 seats, the Liberal Party of Canada with 48 seats, and the Co-Operative Commonwealth Federation or CCF Party with 8 seats remaining. He was succeeded in office by the incoming Progressive Conservative Party of Canada Member Joseph "Joe" Slogan on December 12, 1958. During his lifetime, he had also been associated with the Greek Catholic Church and the Kiwanis Club. Following his death, he was buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He was married to Eugenia Zuk Yacula (1912-2010), a successful businesswoman, with whom he had one child, a daughter named Elaine. His wife Eugenia Zuk Yacula passed away at the Holy Family Nursing Home in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, on January 15, 2010, at the age of 97, and she is also buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
