Ella E. Wilkinson

Ella E. Wilkinson, 92, formerly of Nevada, died Wednesday, June 6, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames from congestive heart failure.
She was born Nov. 13, 1908, in Nevada to Wilbert and Mary Ellen (McKee) Corbin. She was united in marriage to Rolland "Charlie" Wilkinson. He preceded her in death. Ella was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, quilting, Knitting and taking care of people when they were ill. She will be remembered for her apple pies. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Restoration Branch of northeast Des Moines.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty (and Earnest) Myers of Nevada and Barbara Wilkinson of Des Moines, 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, he husband, two sons, Howard and Max, and 15 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 9 at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada with Elder Eldon Cunningham presiding and Elder Terry Cronin officiating. Burial was held in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Memorials may be made to her church. The Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada handled arrangements.
