VERONA – July Maxine "Aunt Mac" Collums, 76, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at her home. She was born March 15, 1937, to Calvin Eugene and July Brascher Wilson in Houlka. She loved to cook for family and friends. She had a heart of gold.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Charles Cooper officiating. Graveside services will follow in Collums Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Sidney Berthelot Jr.; two sons, Danny Kidd (Mary) of Longview and Scott Collums (Lisa) of Chalybeate; three stepsons, Rex Collums of Plantersville, Sidney Berthelot III (Kristy) of Holden, La., and Steven Ray Berthelot (Tiffany) of Walker, La.; one sister, Louise Morphis of Belden; one brother, James Wilson (Wanda) of Belden; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and July Collums; her son, Calvin (Pete) Collums; one stepson, Jean Collums; two sisters, Loyce Stephenson and Jimmy Ann Rogers; and one brother, Riley Wilson.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
