ROBERT E MUFFIE

Robert E. Muffie, 61, of Morgantown, WV died Friday, January 18, 2008 at his residence following a battle with cancer.

He was born October 8, 1946 at Spangler, PA, a son of the late James Muffie and Clara Slusher Muffie.

Bob was a retired truck driver. He last worked for the ABZ Transport Company. He loved all forms of hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors.

Surviving are his wife, Veronica Lemley Muffie; four sons, Robert Kenneth Muffie, Thomas James Muffie, Gregory Allen Muffie, and William David Muffie, all of the Johnstown, PA area; three brothers, William "Bill" Muffie, David Muffie, and Edward "Eddie" Muffie; two sisters, Becky Cann and Catheryn "Roie" Pastirko; one grandson, T. J. Muffie; one step-daughter, Holly Spears; two step-sons, Christopher Spears, and David Spears; five step-grandchildren, Danny, Destiny, Christian, Rezin, and Courtney Spears; his mother-in-law, Carol Lemley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Teresa and Gary Forquer and their children, Ashley, Zack, and Whitney; and Willie B. Lemley, Jr and his wife Wendy and their children, Noah and Josh; and his Ex-Brother-in-law and wife, Irk and Marlene Potts of Morgantown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy and a step-sister, Mary Lou.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Tuesday with the Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
