Evelyn died of complications of old age. She had been declining for some time. Her funeral service was at Braman Mortuary in Omaha on Saturday, January 29, led by Rev J Keith Cook, father-in-law of Evelyn's granddaughter Lisa A (Christensen) Cook. Evelyn was cremated and the cremains were buried in the spring of 2000 in the family plot in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa.
She and husband Chris were married Febr. 21, 1931, and had two children:
