Donald Leroy Nomsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Nomsen, born September 22, 1913, passed away to be with Jesus to await the coming of those he loved so well, on the morning of July 4, 1918, at the age of four years, 10 months and 12 days, death due to scarlet fever. Donald while but a baby on his mother's breast, became a cradle roll member of the Presbyterian Sabbath school, and when two years old he was baptized into the membership of the church of Jesus Christ, and at the early age of three years, he became a treasured member of a regular Sabbath school class, greatly loved by both pupils and officers. He was a very likeable lad and his passing away has thrown a shadow over the entire community; and as another has said, it s wonderful how long a shadow a little grave can throw.

The sympathy of all goes to his beloved parents and little sister, Ruth, who will miss him most of all. It is well to remember at such times as this the words of Jesus, "Of Such is the Kingdom of Heaven."

The funeral services were held Friday afternoon on the lawn at the family residence conducted by Rev. William Walker of Storm Lake and the little form was laid to rest in the Wall Lake cemetery.
