A native of Morriston (Fulton County) Arkansas. She married Joe Blue on November 9, 1897. She gave birth to a daughter Myrtle (Hatman Greer), a son Cleo and a child who died in infancy. They also adopted a daughter Arlie Lynch. She kept the "home fires burning" as her husband traveled the country as an evangelist. During their fifty-seven years of marriage it is said that they never bought laundry soap, vegetables, wood for the fire or butter because of her hard work on the farm. She was known for her hospitality.
