Professional Hockey Player. The brother of hockey player George Trenholme Allen, he was also known as 'Squeaky.' A native of Bayfield, New Brunswick, Allen played the position of Right Wing. At 5'06, and 140lbs, Allen played for the Kerrobert Tigers from 1934 to 1936 (SIHA), North battleford Beavers from 1936 to 1937 (N-SSHL), Creighton Eagles from 1937 to 1938 (NOHA), Lethbridge Maple Leafs from 1938 to 1939 (ASHL), Restvale Skeeters from 1939 to 1940 (EAHL), New York Americans from 1940 to 1941 (NHL), Springfield Indians from 1940 to 1941 (AHL), Pittsburgh Hornets from 1941 to 1944, and 1945 to 1946 (AHL), Washington Lions from 1942 to 1943 (AHL), Saskatoon HMCS unicorn from 1943 to 1944 (SNDHL), Philadelphia Falcons from 1943 to 1944 (EAHL), Cornwallis Navy from 1944 to 1945 (NSDHL), Dallas Texans from 1945 to 1948 (USHL), and the Saskatoon Quakers from 1949 to 1950. Allen retired from hockey following the 1949 to 1950 season, after receiving a serious leg injury. Allen passed away on August 15, 1995.
