Mrs. Ottilie Maria "Margrett" Krause George May, age 82 of Hanover, Indiana entered this life on April 5, 1931 in Augsburg, Germany. She was the loving daughter of the late, Ferdinand and Theresa Kasemeyer Krause. She was raised in Germany and moved the United States in 1954. Margrett was united in marriage to Everett George and he passed away in 1963. She was later united in marriage to Russell F. May on June 28, 1969 at the Benham United Methodist Church. Margrett was employed for 34 years with the U.S. Shoe Corporation in Vevay. She resided in Ripley County for many years and moved to Hanover 20 years ago. Margrett enjoyed cooking at Ponderosa in Madison for five years. She was raised Catholic but had become a member of the Madison Assembly of God Church in Madison. She also enjoyed membership in the Jefferson Post 9 American Legion Auxiliary. In her spare time she enjoyed puzzles, word searches, walking and playing bingo. Margrett died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 9:20 a.m. at the Hanover Health & Rehab Center in Hanover, Indiana.

Margrett will be missed by her loving son: Fred Richard George of Hanover, Indiana; her loving daughter: Lucia Linda Maria Landry and her husband, Frank of Audubon, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren: Michelle Anderson, Donovon Landry, Amanda George, Dylon George, Hailey George & Adam Sirk; her great grandchildren: Timothy, Matthew, Crystal, Ciara, Hailey, Austin and Jason. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Theresa Kasemeyer Krause; her first husband, Everett George died in 1963; her second husband, Russell F. May died on Sept. 15, 2008; her brother, Agidius Krause.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., by Pastor Don Pruett at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens near Madison, Indiana.
