Emelie emigrated from Deetz, Soldin, Pommerania/Prussia in 1858 with her family. She was the dau. of Ernst ALBRECHT and Johanne Caroline KRUEGER. When they arrived in the United States, they settled in Racine, Wisconsin. Emelie married John Frederick BUECHNER on 10 May 1861 in Racine, Wisconsin. She and husband John F. were the parents of: Frederick J. BUECHNER (1862-1902); William D. BUECHNER of Strawberry Point, Iowa; Emelie M. BUECHNER ROLF; John H. BUECHNER; Ludwig J. BUECHNER; Edward J. BUECHNER, Louis E. BUECHNER, Otto Charles BUECHNER. Emilie's parents later Ernst and Johanne Caroline ALBRECHT later moved to Paynesville, Stearns Co., Minnesota. Emelie's husband John F. BUECHNER owned a blacksmith on Plum and Bates Streets in St. Paul from abt. 1881 until he died in 1915.
