Leah M. (Newcomer) Zorbaugh, 89, died at 8:15 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2005, at her home. She was the wife of the late William R. Zorbaugh. Celebration of Life Service Thursday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, York, her pastor, Rev. Chad Rimmer of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Burial in Mount Rose Cemetery. Mrs. Zorbaugh was born June 21, 1915, in Lancaster. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Myrtle M. (Figdore) Newcomer. She was a waitress for 46 years at Mosers Restaurant in York. She also worked as a Sales Rep. for Avon for over 50 years. She was an active member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church as well as Yorktowne Senior Center where she enjoyed Arts and Crafts. Mrs. Zorbaugh leaves her daughter, Irene M. Taylor of York; one grandson, Gordon L. Ziegler Jr. and his wife Debra of York; and one great-granddaughter, Samantha L. Ziegler. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Morell, David, and Charles Newcomer. [York Daily Record]
