Miss Maggie Abbott of Fayetteville died Sunday at Lincoln County Hospital following a brief illness. She was 95 years old.
Services were Monday at Higgins Funeral Home with Robert Hall officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
A native of Lincoln County, Miss Abbott was the daughter of the late John L. And Thurza Weeks Abbott. She was employed as an inspector for Blue Ridge Shirt Mfg. Co. in Fayetteville for over 20 years prior to her retirement 18 years ago.
Miss Abbott was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
