Mrs. Dugger, wife of A. P. Dugger of Fairbury passed away Monday afternoon, July 17, 1916, at her home, 802 8th street. She was at the time of her death 45 years, 3 months and 16 days old.
Mrs. Dugger was taken ill nearly two years ago, being afflicted with carcinoma, a disease affecting the stomach. She was given treatment by home physicians and treated in several of the leading hospitals of the country but grew gradually weaker. Her final illness was passed at home.
May Brady, which was her maiden name, was born in Johnson County, Kansas, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brady. She was married to A. P. Dugger September 3, 1886. To this union two daughters were given, Misses Gracia and Vera who reside at Fairbury at home.
Four sisters and three brothers survive. Mrs. C. T. Artlip one of the sisters; a resident of St. Joseph, Mo., was present at the funeral.
Mrs. Dugger since her marriage has lived the greater part of the time in this city.
The funeral was held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the family home, Rev. J. T. Parker officiating. Interment was in the Fairbury cemetery.
