Sweeter J. Manning (1923 - 2011)

Sweeter J. Manning or S.J. as friends and family knew him. Went home to be with the Lord this past Thanksgiving Morning.
S.J. Was a long time Oxnard resident living the majority of his life in this little city. A decorated solider he served bravely in WWII. After being Honorably Discharged from the Us Army, He began working for Arcturus Manufacturing, where he would work for over 30 years .There he operated the 50,000 pound hammer building Space Shuttle and Aerospace parts.
He was a Minister and a devout Christian. He could always be seen riding the SCAT Bus or Walking Around the city with his bible in hand, preaching the Word of God, to whomever would hear it. Often handing out his homemade cards letting people know this simple message: John 14:20 "I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 1 John 5:7 "the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: these three are one." 1 John 5:8 " the Spirit, the water, and the blood: these three agree in one." Meaning we are all one in Jesus. We are him and he is us. S.J. did so much good his 88 years (02/08/1923 -11/24/2011) on this Earth.
He is survived by his Wife Linda F. Manning, Daughters Sweeter Jean Manning and Vickey R. Manning, and Sons Solomon John Manning, and Anthony Manning. He will be Greatly Missed and treasured. For Donations
